E.O.C. Radio Operator Certification

There are requirements to operate the radio station during a declared emergency at the White County Emergency Operation Center.  Personnel are required to have the certificates on file for the completion of two F.E.M.A. courses. The two Emergency Management Institute certificates and courses are available for free online using the Independent Study Program.

The first course is IS-100.B.    The Introduction to Emergency Communications may be found online at:

The second course, is IS-700.ANational Incident Management System (NIMS) An Introduction  found online at:
